Photo from Bingham family’s blog Gage Bingham, 7, plays a game while recovering from heart surgery on Nov. 16. His mom, Stacy, is at right.
Gage Bingham likes Legos and coloring books, and he’s known as the clown of the Bingham clan from North Powder.
“Our funny guy — when he’s feeling good,” says his mom, Stacy.
But Gage isn’t so jolly at the moment, as he recovers from open heart surgery at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif.
On Nov. 16, Gage, whose two older sisters, Sierra and Lindsey, both have had heart transplants, had a HeartWare device implanted to help his ailing heart work until a donor heart becomes available.
Gage, the youngest of Stacy and Jason Bingham’s five children, is getting better every day, Stacy said.
