Q. If I post a comment, will I be publicly identified?
A. You have the option to be identified by your Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo or Disqus ID. The first time you comment you will be prompted to sign in to your account on one of those services, or to create an account on one of them if you do not have one.
We reserve the right to reveal your name (or other information we may have, including IP address and your ISP) to authorities in the event of a legal action arising from any information posted by you.
Q. Will my comment be edited?
A. Comments are the responsibility of those who post them, and we do not accept any responsibility for their accuracy, fairness or even their spelling or grammar. We reserve the right to refuse to publish comments that contain language that is offensive or inappropriate, or that are personal attacks, or that we suspect may violate copyrights, or that don't conform with our policies. We reserve the right to edit comments to eliminate profanity or personal attacks in otherwise valid comments. We will not refuse to publish comments simply because we disagree with them, nor will we promote those we do agree with.
Q. I think a comment is offensive. What can I do?
Q. I posted a comment but it has not appeared. Why?
Q. Can my comment include a link?
A. Yes, if it is relevant to the article and if it is not promoting a business. Comments with links will be reviewed so there may be a delay in your comment being published. Comments with more than one link may be treated as spam. Spamming and advertising are prohibited. We define spam as content that is not related to the article or post, or that advertises products, services or Web sites.
