Memory Cruise is Aug. 23-24

The 18th annual Memory Cruise is set for Aug. 23-24 in Baker City, with the majority of events happening Saturday, Aug. 23, at Geiser-Pollman Park.

On that day, those who wish to enter cars in the cruise can register from 8-10 a.m. at the park. The entry fee is $15.

The show-n-shine — this is the best time for the public to see the cars — will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the park. Also, the valve cover races will happen from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Show awards will be given from 3-4 p.m., and then all the show entrants will join for dinner at 6:30 p.m. (the cost is TBA).

This year's Memory Cruise will not feature the cruise up and down Main Street in Baker City.

Sunday the event continues with the Scenic Fun Cruise from about 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This requires a separate sign up than the show-n-shine.
