Sumpter Valley Railroad plans a robbery — and a night train

The McCarty Gang will make their final attempt at robbing the Sumpter Valley Railroad on Saturday, Aug. 16, on the 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. trains out of McEwen Station. For more information, call 866-894-2268.

Round-trip fares are $15 adults, $14 seniors, $9 children (ages 6-17) and $40 for a family.

Labor Day Night Train

The annual Labor Day night train is set for Saturday, Aug. 30. The train leaves McEwen Station at 6 p.m., and passengers will be treated to dinner — prime rib and stuffed chicken breasts, sides, dessert and cold drinks — and live music at the Sumpter Depot. Tickets are $35 for adults and $28 for youth age 6 to 17. For reservations, phone the above toll-free number for the SVRR.
