Bentz knows value of water

To the editor:

Cliff Bentz has spent a large part of his life working to learn about and protect water rights. He knows how we ranch and farm in Eastern Oregon and he knows just how important water is to all of us. He is a part-time farmer living on 100 acres of water right land (under the Owyhee Reservoir), and three of his brothers are ranchers with water rights out of Eastern Oregon rivers and wells. His clients in his law practice are mostly ranchers and farmers.

Without water, our land would be worthless. His work on the Oregon water commission was spread over eight years. He was one rancher/lawyer against the other six members who were environmentalists. He did his best to help ranchers and we are sure and certain that he did. We need to send him back to Salem as our representative.

Please vote for Cliff in this May's primary.

Mark and Patti Bennett
