Snowblower thief forgot the keys To the editor: My husband and I have lived here for 13 years. We own a small, well-established business and for the most part love the laid-back “people helping people” attitude we’ve come to know living in Baker. On Easter Sunday night someone stole our nice, 5.5 Honda snowblower from our back patio right outside our back door. This was quite a large and heavy piece of equipment — you should have knocked. If you needed it that badly we would have helped you load it into your rig! By the way — you forgot the keys. Give us a call — we’re in the book. Rhonda Kragness Baker City
To the editor: I was amazed to see such a expensive rig for Turbo the dog. I don’t object to the dog, but what a waste of money when the country is going broke. What’s wrong with the back of a pickup truck? Plenty of air for him to be sniffing. After all, it is Eastern Oregon. Too bad the money wasn’t spent on kids. Carol Free Baker City |
