Baker was great host for fundraiser

On Aug. 6, “Tennis For The Girls” was held on the grass courts in Baker City and raised $700 for breast cancer. Having three members in my own family who have dealt with breast cancer, I understand the importance of fundraising and supporting the cause.

I would like to thank the citizens of Baker City for hosting such a charitable, enjoyable, and important event for an important cause. Baker City is very fortunate to have a unique playing surface for tennis in such a beautiful location.

I would return to Baker City and stay at the Best Western again — a very hospitable hotel. Thanks again for the hospitality, see you soon at the grass courts.
