America’s leaders have lost their way To the editor: It’s sad to see how our government officials have managed to achieve their own agendas at the expense of the American people. The past two years have been an eye-opener as to how easily and quickly a government can turn to serving their own desires and betray the people’s trust. Honesty and integrity seems to no longer be important. The result is that we now have an economy sliding downhill with millions of people out of work and a huge debt which is caused by government spending out of control. It’s obvious to me that our government leaders have their own evil agenda and could care less about America and our Constitution. History has proven time and again that when a nation turns it’s back on God and no longer seeks His guidance and wisdom, it becomes a nation lost and unprotected. Joanna Mollert Baker City |
