Inmates deserve thanks for work To the editor: My husband is an inmate at the Powder River Correctional Facility, and in a phone conversation with him last evening he was so excited to tell me about his involvement with the Festival of Trees, and asked to me to look it up on the Web site to see if there was any mention of the prison’s involvement. Much to my dismay there was none at all that I could find. My husband and other inmates decorated one of those trees, and my husband even quilted for the event. He also provided his skills as an artist, and did so from his heart! I think it would be very good for those men to be acknowledged for their efforts and if I just missed their acknowledgement in my quest somehow, I’d be very grateful if you could e-mail it to me so I can share it with them. They are all anxiously awaiting my reply, and any word of a job well done. Beth Blain Eugene |
