No problem with gun ban in parks

To the editor:

I read, with interest, the editorial in the May 7 paper from the editorial board. Its title was "Gun Ban Goes Too Far."

I would have the writers rewrite that scenario with Mr. Ward having a .38 handgun instead of the club he wielded. Then, perhaps instead of swinging that club, start shooting at his girlfriend, and whatever else he hit inside the trailer with that club.

Perhaps some kids playing outside might be hit with a bullet crashing through a window or an open door.

Then, please tell me if the gun ban goes far enough? Personally, I think banning guns from national parks is just fine.
