Wallowa-Whitman isn't user-friendly

To the editor:

It's been obvious for some time that the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest is not user-friendly.

In the last few years we have seen them close campgrounds or take out the accommodations. One especially comes to mind. Senior citizens used it, because it was very easy for them to get to: Eldorado Campground.

Their road maintenance program is a joke. By next summer Forest Road 16 will most likely be unusable for campers. I wonder why that is since Malheur National Forest takes such wonderful care of theirs?

Marilyn Justus,

Vale
