We don't need a new middle school

To the editor:

I attended all of the schools in District 5J run by the now-deceased James R. Evans. We had excellent teachers, football coaches and also an athletic director by the name of Gary Hammond, who called the Greyhound people to rent a bus for the football team, basketball team, track team and volleyball team.

I think that is is wrong for our new superintendent to recommend that we taxpayers pay for a new middle school of which we don't need at this time.
