Weed levy isn't a new tax

To the editor:

I know we who live in the panhandle of Baker County have an issue as to adding more taxes to our already overloaded tax base.

There is one tax that I feel we cannot ignore. This tax does not add any new taxes that we have not had for the last seven years, it merely continues the revenue needed to fight noxious weeds in our county. Noxious weeds cost rangers and road departments mega-dollars every years.

Please vote yes on the weed levy. Help us preserve our land.
