Help document a day in the life of Oregon
Do you own a camera? Then you’re invited to help document a day in the life of Oregon.
The Oregon Project Dayshoot 30th anniversary event is planned for Monday, July 15. During the whole of that day — all 24 hours — Oregon residents will take photographs and videos, some of which will be incorporated into an online display and a physical exhibit that will be part of the permanent collection of the Oregon Historical Society.
The project, as its name implies, is intended to replicate an event that took place 30 years to the day, on July 15, 1983.
On that day 92 Oregon photographers took thousands of photos, the idea being to portray the state, and its people, as seen by working photojournalists.
Many of those photographers will participate in this year’s repeat event, but everyone, whether professional or not, can contribute.
Details about the project are available online at dayshoot30.org.
