The Baker School Board will receive the district’s 2012-13 audit report during a work session Tuesday night.

The session will begin at 5 p.m. at the District Office, 2090 Fourth St. Representatives of the Oster Professional Group of John Day will review its audit of district finances.

The regular meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at the District Office.

The board is expected to act on a proposed one-year contract agreement with district teachers that calls for overall salary increases of between 2 percent and 2.5 percent, Superintendent Walt Wegener said.

The district will continue to pay a cap of $968 per month for medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage for full-time employees.

And paid personal leave days will change from three per year as allowed in the 2011-2013 contract to five in two years under the new proposal.

Certified employees who do not take personal days during a contract year would receive $400. Unused days would be paid at $125 per day taken individually. Employees also may request to have all five days paid back for $800, according to the proposal.

In other business, the board will:

• Consider extra-duty contracts for Tim Smith as the new Baker High School baseball coach; Kristina Fleming, assistant BHS girls basketball coach; and Aaron Polkowske, Baker Middle School wrestling coach.

• Consider hiring Hali Fleming as a speech and language pathologist.
