School’s Out Extra Early

Baker School District students will be released early Friday to allow district staff to attend a workshop on writing instruction and scoring.

“The writing workshops are a vital part of progressing toward our districtwide goal of improving the writing abilities of our students across the curriculum at every level,” Jerry Peacock, Baker High School principal, said in a press release.

Here is Friday’s extra early release schedule:

• Kindergarten students will be released at 11a.m.

• Brooklyn and South Baker, 11:15 a.m.

• Baker Middle School and Baker High School, 11:30 a.m.

Lunch will still be available at each building. After-school bus schedules will run two hours earlier then usual to accommodate the shortened schedules.
