Anniversaries: The Richmonds

Joyce and Bob Richmond ().
Joyce and Bob Richmond ().

Robert and Joyce Richmond will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 1. The couple will be traveling through Montana, Wyoming and Utah to commemorate the event.

The Richmonds were married Feb. 1, 1958, in Laurel, Mont. They moved from Washington, D.C., to Baker City in 1987 when Bob took the position as forest supervisor of the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest.

Both are retired — Bob from a 36-year career with the U.S. Forest Service, and Joyce from working for the Baker School District. They remain active in church, Eastern Star and Masonic activities.

Bob is deputy grand master of the Masonic Lodge of Oregon.

Their children are Robyn Winden and her husband, Jerry, of Tigard, Jeff Richmond and his wife, Cyndi, of Nampa, Idaho, and Verlyn Richmond of Baker City.

Their grandchildren are Haylee, Janae and Kaylin Winden of Tigard.
