The Karmans


Jim and Sharon Karman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 7.

The couple were married Dec. 7, 1958, at Fort Collins, Colo.

They have one child, Sheryl Blankenship and her husband Dan, and two grandsons, Derek, 17, and Dillon, 14.

 

In uniform

Jake L. Johnston has finished basic training, and  graduated in the top 10 percent out of 250 soldiers.

He received honor graduate, sharp shooter, expert hand grenade and bayonet, an Army service ribbon, Time of War ribbon and War on Terrorism ribbon. He also scored 270 out of 300 on PT scores.

Johnston was squad leader of the 3rd Platoon Pythons.  He will now go on to AIT.

He is the oldest son of Tom and Marlene Johnston, and older brother to Charles, Tom, Wesley and Taylor Johnston. His father, Tom, is an Army veteran.
