The bride is the daughter of Bob and Dee Nelson. She graduated from Bandon High School in 2001, and from Oregon State University in 2005.

The groom is the son of Michael and Cathy Cook. He is a 2003 graduate of Baker High School, and a 2007 graduate of Oregon State University.

Pastor Tom Ramsay of Corvallis was the officiant.

Matron of honor was Serena Mills of Corvallis, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Rachel Daniels of Portland, longtime friend of bride, Kimberly McCready of Ames, Iowa, college friend of the bride, and Cody Cook of Baker City, the groom's sister.

Best man was the groom's cousin, Jason Jacobs of Baker City. Groomsmen were: Evan Bellingar of McMinnville and Cayle Krebs of Wallowa, both fraternity brothers, and Daniel Graham of Corvallis, a close friend of both the bride and groom.

After spending their honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the bride and groom traveled to Baker City for a reception at the Keating Fire Station.

The couple have made their home in Philomath where Krista is starting her third year of graduate school at Oregon State University School of Veterinary Medicine, and Travis will be working as assistant vineyard manager for Westvine Farms in Philomath.
