'Lynn' Behrens

‘Lynn’ Behrens

Carolyn June “ Lynn”  Behrens, 68, of Durkee, died Aug. 19, 2011, with her family at her side.

Her memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Ave. South, Nampa, Id. 83651

She was born on Sept. 26, 1942, at Kalamaza, Mich., to Patricia Pauline and Leonard Ross Vanderkamp.

She will be remembered for her sunny outlook on life and her passion for gardening, family members said. Her garden is where you would find her at any time of day.

She had a warm, positive personality and was a best friend to many. She was extremely loved by her children and grandchildren who spent lots of time with her. She will be greatly missed by all, her family said.

“We could not have had a better mother or grandmother, she loved us all so much,” they said. “We miss her terribly and love her so much, memories of mom will be with us each day.”

She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia, in 2004.

Survivors include her husband of 17 years, David Behrens; sisters, Sharon Gradischnig, and Bonnie and her husband, John Fitzgerald; her brother, Brian, and his wife, Chris Wheeler; her children, Christy and her husband, Jeff, Elisha, Cynder and her husband, Jason, Brett and his wife, Jody, Gabriel and his wife, Amber, and Dawn and her husband, Larry; grandchildren, Nicole Biller, David Grashoff, Rachel Adams, Jacquelyn Keffer, Meaghan Keffer, Lennay Daniells, Brittney Howard, Richard Schaffer, Brennon Howard Derrick Behrens and Madison and Millie Baumberger; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
