Cliff King Cliff King, 80, of Baker City, died Dec. 18, 2010, at St. Alphonsus Health Services, Baker City. Visitations will be Monday, Dec. 27 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Gray’s West & Co. Pioneer Chapel, 1500 Dewey Ave. Cliff’s memorial service will be Tuesday, Dec. 28 at 2 p.m. at Gray’s West & Co. with a reception immediately following the service. Pastor Al Fry of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Cliff was born March 12, 1930, in Port Angeles, Wash., to Vernard and Gladys (Taylor) King. He married Cecile Nanette Newell on Oct. 5, 1956, in Buhl, Idaho. They had four children. Cliff was a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed reading, hunting (deer and elk), and visiting national parks and museums. He was a lifelong learner and was fascinated with history, maps and geneology. He loved his family and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Nan; daughter, Christi and husband Curt Jasper, daughter, Connie and husband Fred Cochran, son, Allen and wife Kathleen King, and son, Patrick and wife Patricia King; grandchildren: Tara Fish, Scooter Johnston, Alyssa Hertzler, Curtis Jasper, Carstens Jasper, Terrance Jasper, Jared Jasper, Jacinda Jasper, Sam Cochran, Elizabeth Cochran, Natalie Cochran, Michael King, Nikkiel Lefebre, Joy King and David King; great-grandchildren: Gage Johnston, Emma Johnston, Abby Johnston, Liam Johnston, Sophie Fish, Kayson Hertzler, Bracken Hertzler, Addison Hertzler, Elizabeth Lefebre and Joey King. Cliff was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army through Gray’s West & Co.
