Obituaries for Feb. 1, 2012


'Clay' Mann

Clayton W. "Clay" Mann, 77, of Pasco, Wash., a former Baker City resident, died Dec. 16,2011, at Kadlec Hospital in Richland, Wash., with his wife and daughter, Deb, by his side.

Burial was at the Summerville Cemetery.

Clay was born on April 14, 1934, at Baker City to William F. Mann and Opal Mann Cross.

He enjoyed toe-tapping country western music, being outdoors and fishing and camping. He also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles every morning after he had taken care of two special spoiled cats.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Roberta; three children, Terry (John) Coronado, Debra (Mark) Evans and Ron (Rhonda) Mann; four granddaughters, Trisha, Traci, Cassie and Jessie; two-great-grandsons, Michael and Ryder; a very special cousin (brother), Grover (Mary) Mann; sister, Billie MacNaughtan; stepsisters, Roberta Danials; cousin, Donna Lanyon; several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Helen (Ed) Barnette; and brothers-in-law, Ron (Sherryl) Gover and Danny (Wanda) Gover.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Mann; his mother, Opal Cross; and two stepbrothers.
