Obituaries for Feb. 23, 2011

He was born on Feb. 27, 1947, at Baker City. Living his entire life in Baker City, Danny Sipp was a good friend to many. He will be missed.

Only fortunate people ever meet an individual who can shape their lives with minimal words, family members said. Danny Sipp valued people, valued experiences and valued how people and experiences influenced his life.

There was not a person in Dan’s life who did not learn the importance of listening to life around a campfire, discovering life on a hunt or laughing at life while watching a movie, family members said.

“Dan possessed the strength few have and the character all admire.  He was true to the belief that behaviors should mimic passion; he lived each moment with passion,” they said.

Dan was preceded in death by his father, Charles Richard Sipp; his mother, Phyllis Jean Sipp; and his younger brother, Monte Gene Sipp.

Survivors include his older sister, Llona Crane; older brother, Larry Crane; his two sons, Colt Landon and Beaudry Jack; three granddaughters and two grandsons:  Bali Bo, Harley Jane, Lily Brooke, Jacob Creek and Nick Scott.
