Max Spratling

Max Spratling, 83, a well-known rancher and commercial Angus breeder of Starr Valley in Deeth, Nev., died Feb. 12, 2009, at his wife’s ranch home at Haines after a long illness.

At his request, his body will be cremated and there will be a private family gathering later at his Starr Valley ranch in Nevada. He married Martha Jane Colvin Jacobs in 1991 and since that time had divided his time between his Nevada ranch operations and Martha Jane’s ranch operation at Haines.
