Jack Ferguson, Kimberley Bingham Jack Ferguson Jack Dean Ferguson, 77, of Baker City, died Nov. 15, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Health Services. A memorial service will be scheduled later. Jack was born on May 9, 1932, at Berwyn, Neb., to Isla Williams Ferguson and William Ferguson. He attended high school at Enterprise where he was active in football and basketball. Later he served in the U.S. Navy for four years. Jack married Dixie Reynolds in 1956 at Enterprise. They had two sons, Scott and Wade. Jack was involved in car sales and later in real estate. He enjoyed rodeos, raising appaloosa horses, trapshooting and cars. He especially enjoyed watching the Baker High School football practices and home games. Survivors include his wife, Dixie Ferguson of Baker City; sons, Scott Ferguson of Baker City and Wade Ferguson of Oregon City; grandsons, Tyler Ferguson of Baker City and Cole Ferguson of Oregon City; granddaughter, Samantha of Oregon City; stepgrandson, John Rumble and stepgranddaughter, Christine Rumble, both of Oregon City; and his brother, Bill Ferguson, and his wife, Connie of Joseph; sister, Audrey Best and her husband, Keith, of Baker City; two nieces and seven nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents and one sister, Virginia. Memorial contributions may be made to Baker High School Athletics through Gray’s West & Co. Kimberley Ann Bingham, 47, of Baker City died Nov. 15, 2009, at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland. Visitations will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Coles Funeral Home, 1950 Place St. Her funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Coles Funeral Home. Pastor Monte Loyd of Harvest Church will officiate. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Friends are invited to join the family for a reception at the home of Julia Watson after the services. Kimberley was born on July 9, 1962, at Grass Valley, Calif., to Julia Ann Watson Bingham and El Roy Max Bingham. She attended elementary school at Nevada City, Calif., and graduated from high school in 1979 at Grass Valley, Calif. Kimberley worked in marketing and sales and in the culinary field. She moved to Baker City in 1989 where she worked for Safeway in various store positions for 16 years. She loved animals, music, scrapbooking, jewelry making, reading books and arranging flowers. She was an excellent cook. She lived in Louisiana for 3 years where she learned Cajun cooking. She was preceded in death by her father, El Roy Max Bingham; her grandparents, Alpha and Frank Watson and El Roy and Viola Bingham; three uncles, William Frank Watson, Jerry Lee Watson and Rodger Watson; a cousin, Joshua Hardesty; and third cousin, Delilla Beatty. Survivors include her mother, Julia Ann Watson Bingham of Baker City; aunts, Laura Watson of Baker City, Cindy Shukle and her husband, Gary of Baker City and Vicki Worsham of Knoxville, Tenn.; cousins, Jacqulyn Watson, Robert Watson, Tammy Watson, Will Watson, John Beatty, Rick Watson, Colleen Klassen, Michelle Watson, Justin Watson, Todd Beatty, Chris Beatty, Holly Bannister and Rhonda Yanez. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses through Coles Funeral Home, 1950 Place Street, Baker City, OR 97814. |
