She married Sam Elskamp in 1963.

Brenda Gayle Hock, 64, of Halfway, died Nov. 21, 2013, at St. Alphonsus Care Center.
Brenda had been battling Stage 4 cancer for eight months until it finally got the best of her and she decided to leave this life and be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to also be reunited with her mother, father and her only son, Michael Jo.
There will not be a service at this time.
Brenda Gayle was born on Nov. 17, 1949, at Denison, Texas, to Curtis and Lora Thomas. In 2003, Brenda and Ken moved to Halfway.
Brenda will be missed. If you ever came to visit her, she would try to give you something. She was always a giver, never a taker.
For those who would like to make a donation in memory of Brenda, Ken suggests that you consider a tag from the Christmas tree at US Bank to brighten a child’s face this Christmas, or maybe a prayer, or just do something really special.
Tami’s Pine Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
