Donald Bradshaw ‘Don’ Bradshaw Donald E. Bradshaw, 83, of Baker City, died Sept. 29, 2010, at his home. No funeral is planned at this time. Don was born on June 9, 1927, at the White Earth Reservation in Minnesota to Edward and Rose Bradshaw. He was half Chippewa Indian and very proud of it. Don was a veteran of the Navy Seabees during World War II. He then spent 26 years traveling the Pacific Ocean as a merchant marine, working on freighters and supply transports during the Vietnam War. In 1976 he went to work for Watsonville Central Yellow Cab Co. at Watsonville, Calif. Five years later, in 1981, he started Courtesy Cab Co. at Gilroy, Calif. He owned and operated a restaurant/bar at Monterey, Calif., for several years. Don married Kay Hallett at Carson City, Nev., on April 23, 1983. He was very artistically talented, including drawing cartoons and engraving. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Kay Bradshaw; his stepchildren, Donna, Debbie and Linda; and his son, David, of Stockton, Calif. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Roza.
