‘Von’ Luebberke

Annis Yvonne “Von” Luebberke, 71, of Baker City, died peacefully in her home on Oct. 20, 2010, surrounded by family and friends.
Her memorial service will be Saturday, Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall 975 S. Bridge St. in Baker City.

Von Luebberke was born Jan. 12, 1939, in Sisters. She traveled around the state of Oregon with her family. Von loved life — her favorite hobbies included fishing, hunting and camping. Her greatest passion in her life was being able to travel the world with her husband Sidney while he was in the Air Force.

Von is survived by her husband, Sidney B. Luebberke II of Baker City; a brother, Richard T. Ireland of Prineville; a sister, Iris Irene Schumacher, and a brother, Jesse F. Ireland, both of Santa Rosa, Calif.;  her children, Mary Tarkowski, James Griffin, J.F. Griffin, Sidney Luebberke, Elizabeth Cline and Kenneth Dale Luebberke; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched.

Von was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse E. and Mary Annis (Dobkins) Ireland; and by a sister, Dixie Lee Ireland Shultz.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Cancer Society of America or the American Diabetes Association through Tami’s Pine Valley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 543 Halfway, OR 97834.
