Marceen Simmons Marceen Simmons, 77, a former Baker City resident, died Sept. 3, 2006, at her home at Denver after a long illness. Her funeral was Friday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Denver. Interment was at the Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver. Marceen was born on Jan. 29, 1929, at Baker City, the second of three daughters. She grew up in Baker City and was a 1946 Baker High School graduate. After graduation, she began working for Leo Adler until her marriage to Metodej Andel on Sept. 9, 1954, at Baker City. They lived the 47 years of their marriage in the Denver area until her husband's death in 2001. Marceen was a devoted and supportive mother and wife and an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include her three daughters and their spouses and families, Nancy and Doug Jackson of Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada, Tonia and Joe McKibben of Bend and Suzie and Kirk Metzler of Lakewood, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Norma Giles and Carol Simmons of Baker City. |
