William L. Binford Jr., 52, of Halfway, died July 12, 2010, at Halfway.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date. 

William “Billy” was born on Feb. 28, 1958, to William and Martha (Butler) Binford) He was fluent in several languages and as a youth lived in Ecuador and Guatemala, where his father was employed. He graduated from high school in Portland. Bill was very intelligent and was always extremely organized.  He enjoyed reading and was a collector of books.

Joyce Beth Arnold, 79, a former resident of Huntington and Weiser, Idaho, died July 8, 2010, at Gritman Medical Center in Moscow, Idaho.

Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Ontario. No service is planned.

Viola A. Colton Gaddis, 98, of Baker City died June 29, 2010, of natural causes.

The rosary will be said at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral, First and Church streets. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband, Bill. There will be a reception afterward at St. Francis Catholic Church.

Chris Alan Crum, 52, died June 21, 2010, at St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls, Idaho.

His funeral will be at noon PDT Friday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meetinghouse at 824 Caswell Ave. W. Twin Falls, Idaho. Interment will be at 1 p.m. PDT Monday at Mount Hope Cemetery in Baker City.

Visitations were Thursday and will continue from 11 a.m. to noon at the church.

He was born on Dec. 26, 1957, at Baker City to Leslie and Elaine Crum.
