Baker Little Leaguers fall in semis

ENTERPRISE — Pendleton ended Baker’s stay at the District 3 Little League baseball tournament Thursday with an 18-0 defeat in the tournament semifinals.

Pendleton has outscored four opponents 74-2. Baker had outscored four opponents 37-10.

Clay LeaMaster managed Baker’s only hit, a single. Jake Harris was the losing pitcher, throwing three innings. Taylor Gulick pitched the final inning for Baker.

Baker reached the semifinals despite losing 8-6 to La Grande in the final round of pool play Wednesday.

In that game, losing pitcher Thomas Hamilton had three hits, including a double and two RBIs. Micah Mespelt added two hits, including a double, and an RBI. Kyle Srack had an RBI double. Chase Dixon and Tanner Ulrey each added a double, LeaMaster two singles, Steven Schott a single and Gulick a single.
