Baker boys to host North Bend

Baker will host North Bend Tuesday in the first round of the Class 4A boys basketball playoffs.

Baker (17-7) enters the game as the Greater Oregon League runnerup. North Bend (12-12) enters the playoffs as the Far West League third-place team.

North Bend edged Sutherlin 66-61 Saturday to gain the Far West’s final state berth.

Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Baker High School. Spectator admission is $6 adults and $4 students.

The winner of Tuesday’s game advances to the second round on Friday at Hidden Valley.
