Baker boys win at Hines Middle School meet

BURNS — Baker ran away with the boys title Thursday at the annual Hines Middle School track and field meet.

The Dawgs amassed 203.66 points, outdistancing second-place Mount Vernon (90).

Baker finished second in the girls meet with 105.5 points, trailing only Hines (137).

Nate Baeth led the Baker boys with three individual titles. Baeth won the 800 (2:37.00), 200 hurdles (30.60) and long jump (17 feet, 10 inches).

Ben Baxter won the 200 (26.57), Travis Radle the 400 (1:10.01), Jake Brown the 100 hurdles (18.67), Brian Staebler-Siewell the discus (104 feet, 5 inches), Mason Cline the high jump (5 feet), and the Dawgs 4x400 relay (4:22.75). Relay members were Cline, Casey Brasher, Baxter and Eli Witham.

Baker’s girls 4x100 relay (58.72) and 4x400 relay (5:09.55) also were winners.

The 4x100 relay members were Kayla Davis, Erin Bachman, Charlie Carpenter and Dallas Bain. the 4x400 relay members were Erin Parker, Emily Tatlock, Ashley Martin and Katherine Oglesbee.
