Baker gets three first at Pepsi

Baker earned three individual firsts, and Powder Valley one Saturday at the sixth annual Pepsi Invitational track and field meet at the Union Athletic Complex at Union High School.

Jorden Osborn had two of Baker’s firsts, winning the shot (42 feet, 8 inches) and the discus (138 feet, 1 inch).

Nic Maszk had Baker’s other win, in the 3,000 with a time of 9:28.61.

Mitko Smith added a pair of seconds for Baker, in the 100 (11.49) and 200 (23.57).

Powder Valley’s win was by Ali Abrego in the girls high jump with a leap of 5 feet.

Baker and Powder Valley both travel to Ontario Saturay for the Heinz Invitational. Powder also visits Joseph Friday for the Jo-Hi Invitational.
