Baker girls finish 5th

Baker’s girls golf team closed out its home regular season Wednesday by hosting eight other schools in the Baker Invitational at Quail Ridge Golf Course.

Baker finished fifth in the team standings with an 18-hole score of 412. Weiser won the team title with a 374.

Other scores were La Grande 382, Hermiston 396, Ontario 407, Payette 433, and Pendleton 507.

Pendleton’s Sierra James, La Grande’s Nicole Webster and Samantha Webb of Hermiston tied for medalist honors with a score of 82.

Baker’s top finisher was Emily Smith with a season-best 92. Mackenzie Warner shot 95, Megan Fitzpatrick 108, Aly Ogan 117, and Erin Burgess 136.

Baker JV players Taylor Murphy and Kaitlin Cassidy shot 134 and 135, respectively.
