Baker golfers start season

The Baker High School golf teams opened their seasons Tuesday and Wednesday on the road.

The Baker girls placed sixth at a tournament in Weiser, Idaho, Tuesday at Rolling Hills Golf Course.

Baker shot a 9-hole score of 230.

Emily Smith led baker with a score of 51. Mackenzie Warner carded a 53, Erin Burgess 59, Meranda Christensen 61, Kelsie Geddes 63, Megan Fitzpatrick 63 and Aly Ogan 67.

Weiser’s Laura Haun was medalist with a 44.

Baker’s boys played in a 12-team tournament at Ontario Wednesday. The Bulldogs finished third among Greater Oregon League teams, shooting a 407.

Pat Vaughan was low scorer for the Bulldogs with a 91. Luke Buehler shot a 101, Kevin Frasier 106, Zach Thatcher 109 and Ty Parry 109.
