Baker’s Class 4A state runnerup football team handed out its team awards last week during the annual BHS fall sports ceremony.

Linebacker Dekker Smith received the award for Outstanding Senior Contribution.

Smith and lineman Kevin Fraser shared the Lee Webb Award.

Brandon Dolby and Bryce Brose shared the Herman Steiger Award.

Lineman Mark Swiger was awarded a new award, the Jack Ferguson Award. The award was named after Baker’s No. 1 football fan, Jack Ferguson, who died just before Baker started its playoff run.

Baker advanced to the Class 4A state chamionship game for the first time in school history. The Bulldogs lost the title game to Marist.
