Baker harriers compete at state

Baker’s boys and girls cross country  teams both placed in the Top 15 at the Class 4A state cross country meet in Eugene Saturday.

The Baker boys finished 13th and the girls 14th at the meet at Lane Community College.

“The kids did really well,” said Baker coach Tish Bloomer.

“They ran hard. It was really fun to compete against the other people from around the state.”

Trevor Freese led the Baker boys with a 23rd-place individual finish at 17:40.

Erik Robertson finished 82nd, Skylar Young 85th, Jacob Payton 95th, Joe Anderson 104th, Jacob Baxter 114th, and Connor Yates 120th.

Melissa Clarke led the Baker girls, finishing 38th with a time of 22:08.

Haley Adams finished 97th, Annika Yates 108th, Charlotte Bowers 110th, Ellen Jampolsky 117th, and Anna Clarke 119th.
