Baker’s boys and girls cross country teams each finished second at the 6-team Crosby Invitational Thursday at Ontario. “The kids ran really good. They almost all had personal bests,” said Baker coach Tish Bloomer. “It was a nice, fast course. The kids got to see how fast they could really go.” The fast Bulldog was junior Trevor Freese who won the boys race in a time of 18:06. Erik Robertson finished sixth, Jacob Payton 10th, Joe Anderson 13th and Mitch Sandefur 15th. The top Baker girls finisher was Melissa Clarke, who took fifth in a time of 22:16. Felicia Schneider was ninth, Annika Yates 12th, Charlotte Bowers 13th and Ellen Jampolsky 16th. Baker travels to La Grande for another meet Saturday.
