Milton-Freewater hammered 13 hits on the way to a 16-0 win over Baker Monday at the District 3 Majors softball tournament. The win at the Baker Sports Complex ended Baker’s tournament stay. Collette Robert’s RBI double, run-scoring singles by Sydney Richwine and Hanna Bullock, and an RBI groundout by Jocelyn Harwood gave Milton-Freewater a 4-0 lead after one inning. Run-scoring hits by Richwine and Isabelle Dillon and another RBI grounder by Brooke Krahlman sparked a 7-run third inning for Milton-Freewater. Krahlman and Robert added RBIs in a 5-run fourth inning to complete Milton-Freewater’s scoring. Baker managed just two hits — singles by Lakaylan Thomas and Savannah Stephens.
