Baker swimmers at Hood River

Baker swimmers earned three first-place awards Saturday at the annual Hood River Valley Invitational high school swim meet at Hood River.

Jared Miller earned two of the firsts, winning the 100 freestyle in a time of 51.93 seconds, and the 100 backstroke in a clocking of 56.69.

Makenna Bachman won the other Baker first, claiming the 50 freestyle with a time of 26.99.

Baker placed eighth in the boys team standings, and 11th in the girls standings.

The Bulldogs travel to La Grande Saturday.
