Baker swimmers place fourth

Baker’s boys and girls swim teams each placed fourth in their halves of the Baker Invitational high school meet Saturday at Sam-O Swim Center.

The boys earned four individual firsts at the meet.

Lance Dunn won the 50 yard mixed butterfly in a time of 29.52 seconds.

Levi Mansuetti won the 50 freestyle (29.07), Jared Miller the 100 backstroke (57.88) and Justin Aydelotte the 50 backstroke (32.70).

The Baker girls earned a trio of second-place finishes.

Makenna Bachman placed second in the 50 freestyle (27.35) and 100 freestyle (59.58), and Kara Bennett was second in the 50 backstroke (46.33).

Baker travels to La Grande Saturday for the La Grande Invitational. The Bulldogs then will be idle until after Jan. 1.
