Baker split a special district tennis match at Vale Tuesday. The Bulldogs won the girls match 4-1, but lost the boys match 3-2.
“Vale is really strong in the boys, but seem to be a little weaker in the girls this year,” said Baker coach George Keister. Robbie Langrell and Helen Galiszewski won their singles matches against the Vikings. Baker’s doubles teams of Lily Bass and Ellen Jampolsky and Kim Countryman and Julie Tipton also won in straight sets. Robert Schmeits and Gus Hansen picked up singles wins for the Baker boys. Baker plays its first home match Friday against Weiser, Idaho, at the Ash Grove Complex.
