Baker tennis sweeps Weiser

Baker proved to be rude hosts Friday, sweeping Wesier in a boys and girls tennis match at the Ash Grove Courts. Baker won both matches 4-1. In the boys action, Dan Sizer, Robert Schmeits and Gus Hansen each won their singles match in straight sets. Baker’s No. 1 doubles team of Jordan Curtis and Trenton Howard needed three sets, but also won. Robbit Langrell and Helen Galiszewski won their singles matches in straight sets. Courtney Petry lost the No. 1 singles to a Weiser girl who finished second in Idaho last year. Lily Bass and Ellen Jampolsky won the No. 1 doubles match in three sets. Kim Countryman and Julie Tipton needed just two sets to win the second doubles match. Baker will be busy this week, with three matches scheduled. The Bulldogs travel to Fruitland, Idaho, today. Baker then hosts Pendleton Tuesday and Ontario Friday.
