Baker wrestlers finished 13th in the team standings Saturday at the annual Freeberry tournament at Pendleton.

The Bulldogs finished with 51.5 points. Pendleton won the team title with 297.

Three Bulldogs placed in their weight classes.

Baker coach Brandon Young said another highlight was Daniel Kaufman (160) winning his first match of the season.

“This is his senior year and first year of wrestling,” Young said.

“With one more week of winter break we focus on continuing to practice. We have to maintain our conditioning as we get closer to our first league competition. Next up is the Jo-Hi Tournament in Joseph next weekend.”
