Bulldogs dominate GOL teams

Baker Bulldogs walked away with all of the top honors last week when the Greater Oregon League football all-league teams were announced.

The Bulldogs placed 21 selections on the thiree teams, including 13 first-team picks.

Senior Colten Richards was named GOL all-league offensive and defensive player of the year.

He also received first-team honors at linebacker and running back.

Baker coach Dave Johnson was named GOL coach of the year after leading the Bulldogs to their second straight GOL title.

Joining Richards on the GOL first team were Jorden Osborn and Brandon Zunino as defensive linemen and offensive linemen; Trent Taylor at linebacker; Cody Osborn, Sam Averett and Braden Phillips at defensive back; Danny O’Neal at center; Dane Bachman at wide receiver; and Phillips at quarterback.

Named to the second team were O’Neal at defensive line; Tyler Talbot at linebacker; Grayson Swiger at offensive line; Cody Osborn at wide receiver; Taylor at kicker and Bachman at punter.

Receiving honorable mention were Darren Dolby at defensive back and Taylor at tight end.
