Bulldogs stay perfect in GOL

Baker moved one win away from a perfect Greater Oregon League volleyall season Tuesday with a three-set victory over Ontario at Ontario.

The Bulldogs dominated the Tigers 25-23, 25-18, 25-8 to run their GOL record to 8-0. Baker will close out the regular season Thursday at home against last-place Mac-Hi.

“We got a pretty good all-around effort serving tonight,” said Baker coach Michele McCauley.

“In Game 3 the girls served really aggressive and handled the ball well at the net.”

Tori Brown led th eBulldogs with 24-of-25 sering and four ace serves. Kelsey Cole and Darryn McCauley each finished 8-for-8 serving, and Emily Smith 7-for-7.

McCauley also was 15-of-17 digging, and Smith 14-of-15 digging.

At the net, Whitney Phillips finished with eight kills, Kylie Kitzmiller seven, Annie Martin six and Tiffany Burk five.

Cole dished out 11 assists to the Baker front row players.

Baker also won the junior varsity match 25-16, 24-26, 15-8. The Baker frosh lost their first match of the season 27-25, 25-22.

Action begins Thursday at 4 p.m. with the JV match, followed by the varsity.
