Eastland wins pole vault at Union

UNION — Baker’s Jake Eastland won the boys pole vault with a vault of 12 feet Friday at the fourth anual Pepsi Invitational track and field meet at Union High Schol.

Eastland also placed second in the javelin with a toss of 160 feet, 9 inches.

Baker’s Erik Robertson was second in the 400 with a time of 56.05.

Powder Valley’s Jon Galvez placed second in the discus (121 feet, 6 inches), and shot (46 feet, 8 inches)

Huntington’s Daniel Seiffert was second in the 300 hurdles with a 1:03.34 clocking.

Huntington’s Solveig Bygstad won the girls triple jump with a leap of 32 feet, 8.5 inches. She was second in the long jump with a leap of 16 feet.
