George Fox spikers split

NEWBERG — George Fox University split its first two college volleyball matches of the season Friday and Saturday.

Friday, George Fox defeated Pacific 25-19, 25-22, 25-22. Tiffany Burk, a George Fox sophomore from Baker City, had six kills, nine hits, two assists, three digs and three block assists.

Saturday, the Bruins lost to Occidental 25-15, 25-23, 25-18. Burk had six kills, 16 hits and an assist.
