Imbler, Ione win boys consolation semis

Imbler and Ione advanced to Saturday’s fourth-place game in the Class 1A state boys basketball tournament with consolation semifinal wins Friday.

Imbler edged Jordan Valley 57-52, and Ione outgunned Triangle Lake 92-84.

Eli Bowers led three Imbler players in double figures with 15 points.

Kyle Johnson added 13 points, and Joe Griffith 11.

Wyatt Trautman topped Jordan Valley with 17 points and 13 rebounds.

IMBLER (57)

   Griffin 5 1-2 11, Bowers 4 4-6 15, VanCleave 2 2-4 6, McDonald 1 2-2 4, Johnson 6 1-2 13, Silbernagel 2 3-4 8, Whitaker. Totals 20 13-20 57.

JORDAN VALLEY (52) -

Jailin Conboy sparked Ione with 37 points and 12 rebounds.

Dalton Huges added 22 points, and Bailey Haguewood 20 points and 13 rebounds.

All five Triangle Lake starters scored in double figures, led by Chad Steinhauer with 25 points and 13 rebounds.

Chase Parker added 22 points and 10 boards, Hayden Wilkinson 14 points, Carson Wynn 12 points and Cole Younger 11 points.
